Description

The Energy Sector Budget Support Programme - Phase I (PASEBE I) is the first phase of a programmatic sectoral budget support. It aims to improve electric power supply and electricity sub-sector governance in order to create conditions for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Main Objectives

To increase energy supply so as to create conditions for inclusive economic growth and improve sector governance

Main Activities

Support regular electric power supply by continuing to supply fuel to generation plants and importing electricity from Nigeria's independent power producers
Improve sector governance by strengthening organisational structure of SBEE, improving the financial situations of SBEE
Strengthening ARE's missions and operating resources
