The EU has launched a Technical Assistance Facility (TAF), to assist partner countries in fine tuning their energy policies and regulatory frameworks to allow for increased investments in the energy sector.

Established in 2007 by the European Commission and European Union Member States, the EU-Africa Infrastructure Trust Fund (EU-AITF) has since made a significant contribution to increase investment in infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The EUEI PDF is a multi-donor facility that contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular on energy.
